Parent and Community engagement

We encourage parents/guardians to be involved in school life on a regular basis.

At St Patrick’s Primary School, we believe that quality education is at its premium when there is mutual support between the school and home.

Parental support is particularly appreciated in these areas.

  • classroom learning assistance
  • listening to students read
  • assisting in the Tuckshop
  • taking an active role in the Parent Engagement Network (PEN)
  • assisting with sports events
  • excursion attendance.

Community engagement

Our school has a strong connection with our community. St Patrick’s Primary School is part of the Parish and wider community. There are many areas where we engage in community life.

  • Parish events
  • ANZAC Day Service
  • St Patrick’s Day events
  • Mitchell TRYathlon

Parent Engagement Network (PEN)

Our Parent Engagement Network (PEN) provides an avenue for parents and families to come together to be informed, consulted and learn in relation to school planning, policy, decision making and education programs and engage in activities, projects and events that build community.

All PENs are governed by a constitution that is approved by the Executive Director: Catholic Schools on behalf of the Bishop of Toowoomba.

Please see the Parent Engagement Network (PEN) Constitution here

For further information, we encourage you to contact the principal to discuss how you can get involved.
